Who in their right mind would play Russian Roulette with a critical organ? ...
Vaccine Safety Myth - The Endothelium, a life-critical organ, is the main target of vaccine nanoparticles. A very slow injection will likely guarantee against most adverse effects.
Regatta sailors, like my two buddies, Raf and Ronan, are very picky on sails selection. At every tack, at every variation in wind speed or direction, not only does the sail needs to be adjusted, trimmed or shocked, but quite often, it needs to be changed altogether…adapting to new circumstances. Each sail has its function in a particular context. It can be very effective one minute, useless the other. And competitive sailors spare no effort to win a few knots of speed, or to gain further up-wind than competition, and get a few moments of adrenaline and fun in the process.
As we were hoisting these sails and lowering others all weekend, I realised there are multiple similarities between our Endothelium1 and sails:
they contain energy to be allocate to a body: nutriments and oxygen on the one side, the power of the wind on the other;
they have very large surfaces: a total of 300 sq.m. for our sail boat2, probably north of 1,500 sq.m. for the endothelium;
their role can change depending on the location and the circumstances: Solent sail for gusty winds, spinnaker for down-winds… blood-brain barrier in the brain, gut-blood barrier in the intestine…
both are life-critical organs: without sails, the boat is useless and left to the whims of winds and ocean currents; without blood vessels, well there simply is no life.
sails and endothelial walls can be damaged and repaired, but once repaired they are never as good as new…
